Yoga for mental health – connecting our body, mind, and spirit to regain and retain mental health and well-being
International Day of Yoga is a United Nations resolution which aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga. It was proposed by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014.
“Yoga embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action, restraint and fulfillment – it’s a holistic approach to health and well-being. Yoga is not just about exercise – it’s a way to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world, and nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in well-being.” – Narendra Modi, Indian prime minister
At BYSJ, International Day of Yoga means free yoga all day, in-studio and online
